Music Together® is a music and movement approach to early childhood music development for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten children and their parents, teachers and other primary caregivers. Originally created in 1987, it pioneered the concept of a research based, developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum that strongly emphasizes and facilitates adult involvement.
Music Together® develops every childs' birthright of basic music competence by encouraging the actual experience of music rather than the learning of concept or information about music.
Created by Kenneth K. Guilmartin and co-authored by Dr. Lili M. Levinowitz, the programme is based on how the brain processes and organizes musical material, how children learn, and how the surrounding environment can support this learning. It has SO many benefits across many age groups.
